Many restaurants have small Roadhouse Pay tablets on the tables that accept contactless payments. Tap your phone with Apple Pay or Google Pay, or a contactless card. At restaurants without tablets, ask your server, most card readers take tap-to-pay too.

For online To-Go and curbside orders you pay when you order, by card, Apple Pay in the app or a Texas Roadhouse gift card at most locations. A tip on to-go orders is optional but appreciated when staff bring the food to your car.
Using a Gift Card and a Card Together
If your gift card does not cover the whole bill, ask your server to put the rest on another card or cash. Keep the receipt, it shows the remaining gift card balance.
